A Belgian Architect has designed a concept for a futuristic aquatic home that makes use of one of the present day's biggest boons: garbage. Vincent Callebaut's concept is called Aequorea, and consists of massive domes made from algae and garbage from the great Pacific garbage patch. >>> |

Improvements to the 134,500m2 shopping centre and its surroundings are part of the long-term regeneration plan for Barcelona that includes Segrera Park; a vibrant green corridor which runs through the heart of the city to the sea. Building on its reputation and reflecting the ambitions of the city for an ‘Urban’ project, the development will incorporate ‘Welcome plazas’, a department store and a series of apartments.
