Vady Complex, developed by Hasht Architects, is a conceptual transportation gateway and hospitality project located in Chabahar, Iran's strategic oceanic port in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, acting as a symbolic landmark connecting local culture with future development. The urban gateway reinterprets the traditional Balochi kapar structure into a fluid, dynamic form inspired by ocean waves and local crafts, featuring a latticed roof that provides shade, natural ventilation, and resilience against monsoon winds and sandstorms. The services and hospitality complex functions as a modern caravanserai, drawing from nomadic architecture and sand dunes with central courtyards for cooling and privacy, three wind-shaped domes with starry skylights for dynamic light patterns, and facades made from local soils, adobe, and stones for seamless integration with the desert landscape.
