Haus 24, NDR State Broadcasting Building, Hamburg, Germany
With Haus 24, the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp) expand the existing ensemble on the site of Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) in Lokstedt. The new U-shaped building is the first module of a larger extension project and, with its position at the main gate, creates a new entrance situation to the NDR site. The extension features flexibly adjustable office and production areas with much daylight, sustainable low-tech service installations, and a high proportion of recyclable construction materials.
